Our A Level Biology course includes both written and practical assessments, giving students a strong foundation in scientific knowledge and real-world skills.
Students complete five exam papers:
Paper 1 – Multiple Choice
Quick-fire questions to test understanding of key biology topics.
Paper 2 – Structured Questions
Short written answers explaining biological processes, definitions, and data.
Paper 3 – Practical Skills
In the laboratory – students carry out experiments, use a microscope, and record results.
Paper 4 – Advanced Questions
More challenging written tasks that assess deeper understanding and critical thinking.
Paper 5 – Planning & Analysis
Students design experiments, interpret results, and suggest improvements – no lab required.
All papers are externally marked by Cambridge International. Final grades reflect both theory and practical ability – excellent preparation for university-level study.
