WHAT
You’ll Learn
The Cambridge Mathematics course offers a modular structure. Students begin with Pure Mathematics, and then may choose Statistics, Mechanics, or both — depending on their university goals.
Pure Mathematics 1 (P1) – Algebra, functions, coordinate geometry, trigonometry, and calculus
Pure Mathematics 2 (P2) – Continuation of P1 topics with added complexity
Mechanics (M1) – Motion, forces, Newton’s laws, energy, and kinematics
Probability & Statistics 1 (S1) – Data analysis, probability, distributions, and correlation
Students typically take P1 + M1 or P1 + S1 at AS Level.
Pure Mathematics 3 (P3) – Advanced algebra, trigonometry, logarithms, calculus, and vectors
Mechanics (M2) – Further work on motion, moments, work and energy
Probability & Statistics 2 (S2) – Continuous distributions, normal distribution, hypothesis testing, and estimation
At A Level, students continue with Pure Mathematics and may deepen their understanding in either Statistics, Mechanics, or both — depending on academic and career ambitions.

Each paper is 1 hour 50 minutes long and marked externally by Cambridge International.
