This paper consists of 40 multiple-choice questions and lasts 1 hour. It is taken by both AS and A Level candidates.
Paper 2 – AS Level Structured Questions
This paper contains structured questions based on AS content. It lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes and is also taken by both AS and A Level students.
Paper 3 – Advanced Practical Skills (or Alternative to Practical)
This paper assesses students' understanding and application of practical chemistry. It lasts 2 hours and may be substituted with an alternative paper for online learners.
Paper 4 – A Level Structured Questions
This paper includes more in-depth structured questions covering both AS and A Level content. It lasts 2 hours and is taken only by full A Level students.
Paper 5 – Planning, Analysis and Evaluation
This paper tests students' ability to design experiments, interpret data, and evaluate experimental techniques. It lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes and is taken only by A Level candidates.
